Will the 250D window melt?

I'm going to be putting an ASUS DirectCU2 GTX 770 in there and I heard people saying it will melt the window. I'm not sure if it's acrylic or not but acrylic's melting point is 160 degrees Celsius. I don't want it to warp in any way. Stuck between the 250D and the Prodigy.

Your GPU is not going to hit 160 C.

First and foremost, no way in hell will it melt it.

Second, the melting point isn't the point where it loses structural rigidity and can warp. But it won't anyway, so who cares.

No. It won't hit 160 C. It probably wont hit 100 C.

And you thought 160 would be a problem? With any active cooling in the 250D, the ambient temperature should only hit 50-70. Unless you plan to convert it into an oven, I don't see any issue here.

OC3D mentioned how a Asus DirectCU 2 290X made the acrylic very warm to the touch, that lead to people saying it would melt the acrylic, which then lead us here.

 

You should be perfectly fine.
