So I have posted about this build I'm going to do before but I was still deciding some things about it. Now I think I finally have made a 100% decision on my parts

except one thing. But first, I have a friend (who wont be named) who is....lets just say..... not the smartest person in the world. Now he loves gaming and he is big into

minecraft and plays on a HP (Horrible Products) laptop. He gets like 15fps but he plays it for hours, which is hard. Now I told him if he wanted to save up the money that

I would build him a desktop for $600. Heres the link to the parts http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hs4dGX .  Now I know I'm going to hear people say, "Why are you putting

a micro ATX board in a mid tower." well I was going to get a mini tower, but the spec 01 had some great features and it was only $10-$15 more then the mini towers I

was looking at. Plus he knows nothing about computers so he's not going to know the difference if its a micro ATX board or not. If you are wondering about the OS

Im going to install Windows 8.1 ISO and get a key from g2a.com. I think that is about the best price to performance I can get. And yes he uses an optical drive, he still

plays nN64 and gamecube. Have any other price to performance upgrade ideas please let me know. Now onto the good stuff. My $1200 build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NqF88d           I have finally decided on a case after months of research and looking I have decided on the Corsair 450D over the 500R. But

I'm am having a hard time deciding about getting rid of the SSD and reusing a 500GB HDD and optical drive I Have and getting a GTX 780 or just getting a 770 and

keeping the SSD.  Now I live near micro center so I can get the 4690k for $200 I also might get a Asus ROG board if they have one open box for cheap so some of

the prices will be less then in the link. But what do think SSD or GTX 780. Please let me know what you think about both builds. Thanks

On your personal build, if you're on a 1080p monitor, a GTX 770 is more than enough. I have one myself and I underclock it and still get at least 60 FPS stable (I don't go over 2x MSAA) I would change nothing on that build.

Now for your friend's build, a R7 265 might be overkill for Minecraft xD. I've seen my friend use a HP (Horrible Products) desktop with a 5570 and obviously he can get away with Minecraft. R7 250 might be good enough. Also, I would use a CX430M, 500 watts is too overkill.

Just my two cents.  :)

But with the R7 265 he can get into other games he's always wanted to play like COD

I might have missed that in your post then. I skimmed it and he only plays Minecraft? You should make your paragraph a little more organized.

If he has a 720p monitor, then a R7 265 will be great.
