FX 8320

Hi everyone, I just recently bought an FX-8320 and am having a lot of trouble getting it to overclock. I understand that it isnt an 8350 but it does fine to 4.2ghz and anything over that it acts as if i dont have enough voltage. IM using a asrock 990fxextreme3 motherboard, evga 750g psu, and everything else i think doesnt really matter. I read online that most people are getting 4.5 or more on most of these chips but it could just be a bad one. If anyone has any ideas or maybe the same type of results p[lease let me know. BTW voltage i have taken all the way to 1.525 to try and get it to run at 4.3.

I would just stick at 4.2

4.2 still isnt that bad it could just be the cpu u got doesnt overclock that well but i dont know about u but that is still good speeds

Does your board have LLC features and do you know what your vdroop is?

Hey man! I have a stable 4.4Ghz. I can not go up any higher. My vcore, I think, is around 1.39 or so. I can check later. Could be you just got a bad chip.

thanks guys i got it at microcenter and i can still return it it so i think im gonna swao it for an 8350 for 40 more dollars just didnt have it at the time i bought it
