Windows 7 freezing with an Audigy ZS...

Tr3vor

I'm starting to get sick of the stupid noise in the background of all my stuff when using on board audio. I tried putting in my old Sound Blaster Audigy ZS card (yeah its an oldie) in my PC, and it sounds absolutely great compared to the on board stuff. A day after I installed it, I'd get random freezes about every 20 minutes or so. These were complete lockups, no BSOD, no reset, nothing but the last quarter of a second's audio looping constantly.

Is this a common issue or is there a fix for this? should I just save some cash and upgrade sound cards?

Old shit no one cares about but me.

Creative cards have bad driver support. I had nothing problems with two of mine. If you have the latest drivers for the card from creative then there isn't much you can do.

Could it possibly be my integrated audio's drivers still being installed too.

I wonder if an older version of the driver would work better.

Uninstall all audio drivers and install some different Creative ones. Uninstall them before you try another.
