website and Facebook group advertising help!

Hey guys i have recently got a forum going (not finished yet) and a facebook group all round the topic of my second hobby parrots, I would like to know what is the best way to drive people on to my facebook group, i know people are out there as my mum has a parrot group of 1500 people in a year... so whats the best way to get the right people to your group?

if you own birds message me we can have a chat :P
