Drop the multiplier to what clock you want and keep dropping the voltage with an hour or so test between until you get instability, then raise the voltage slightly from there.

I'm not sure why you want to do this because you might as well be tying a 28" offroading tire to a 3yr old on a tricycle.

where i live is summer and during the day just using a phone just to check facebook gets hot, and then at night is really cold, so my idle of my cpu during the day is 55 C while during the night is 38ish C :/

so if i can underclock during the day to keep temp down would be kinda cool

Idles aren't a big deal, check load temperatures before you worry.

load doesnt go beyond 70 C (not that i play anything that pushes the cpu that hard) but those temp during idle make me a lill uncomfortable

Don't worry it's perfectly normal. temperatures should make you uncomfortable only over 80 c. No need to underclock whatsoever.

That's bad. Your night idle is around what I get during the day on a 2500k clocked to 4.6Ghz, in Texas, during the summer.

Oh, I'm aware, I'm just saying. If my AC was off, I'd still be idling in mid to high 40's. At the time of this post, it's 35.5C outside or 96F.

Here are my cpu temps.

My cooling is nothing special, just a single tower from Enermax, I dunno.

You aren't using fans to try to cool the room instead of air con, are you? If so, that makes sense since you'd be recycling hot air. Either way, I sympathize. My body sucks at regulating temperature and I overheat easy, medical condition. I loathe this time of year because of the temp.

nope, my room doesnt have a/c (just good old fans) and im also using stock cooling (im was considering buying better cooling regardless)

D:!

No AC in this time of year is bad. Stock cooling, yeah, upgrading should help some.
