So yeah, I have this friend and he wants a low end gaming PC for mostly League of Legends, it doesn't need ultra, or anything like that, just needs to run smoothly on medium/low.

So I will give him my old 500w CX PSU, and I will also give him an old GTX 460 GPU.

So those 2 things are taken care of.

We will get a cheap 30 euro case.

A 15 euro DVD reader

But now on to the CPU.

Would a 750K be enough? He isn't going to overclock it on a budget motherboard obviously, but would the FPS be okay? Would it hit 60?

We also have a 120GB SSD in his build

Vendor is this btw: https://www.alternate.nl/Aerocool/V3X-Advance-behuizing/html/product/1090275?tk=7&lk=9285

Feel free to build, limit is 300 euro. :P No GPU or PSU needed.

Get a Intel Pentium K Anniversary G3258 OP.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Why? Is it better for the price?

It's slightly cheaper than the 750k, has better single core performance and can overclock very well on air - you can hit 4.5GHz with a decent aftermarket cooler.

It's a dual core with hyperthreading btw.

Ok with that said then he only needs the better cpu and you already said he won't overclock.  Also LOL only uses 2 cores.  I would say for this person just get the cheapest cpu of the two and be done with it.  To be honest I really don't like people who build a pc with this sort of mentality that the OP's friend or whatever has but it is what it is.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Video cards use PCI-Express, while most network adapter cards (that I know) use a regular PCI slot. I'm sure you can tell the difference.

But why ? Since you already have a RJ45 LAN port ? Or you mean a Wi-Fi card ?

Spoiler

Derp, my bad - i thought it did since it's a Pentium. Seems i was wrong, oh well. Still great for it's price tbh.
