Not even a recent movie, but I don't give a chicken nugget.

If you have never seen this movie, drop everything you are doing and go watch it.

This film. If you have surround sound, please use it and turn your volume up full.

I also really enjoyed "Her" which says something as I  usually can't stand love films.

"Black hawk down" is also a great film imo.

ooh, and prisoners, you may not have heard of it but oh my god, I personally think its up there with the greats like pulp fiction and the goodfellas.

I hate that movie due to it playing on a common misconception and spreading it as fact, i.e. humans only using 10% of their brain which is false.

and why does a sci-fi movie have to be technically accurate in order for you not to absolutely "hate" it? I'm not sure or i'm not even sure if ANYONE knows how much of the brain is truly used. Is there source material that claims without a shadow of a doubt how much brain is actually used to function normally? do they have it down to a .00000 of a %?  Im just curious. I feel like you dont enjoy many movies out there simply because its not real world accurate?

Keep in mind im only busting your chops. but I am also half serious. loosen up man. :)

That and I read or saw some documentary about that if humans were able to use 100% of the brain you wouldn't be able to function properly.

EDIT: But a movie about an epeleptic attack wouldn't be fun.

-snip-

It's not about technical accuracy because any other time I don't care. But this is a myth that has been debunked as we as humans use our whole brain. Each part handles different types of things. Memories in one area, pain in another, it's not like something occurs and your brain leverages what amount needs to be used to deal with it. An important part of society is to not have people walking around believing something that isn't true and in most cases sci-fi movies talk about things that are science fiction. Like time travel and alien races, this is completely fine as no one is going to believe that.

Each part of the brain is for a separate purpose, whenever something occurs that is dealt with by the brain the appropriate section handles it. The portion of your brain that handles nerve functions cannot be used to solve math problems as an example.

I'm not quite sure where you're going with that, but the epeleptic attack thing was a joke btw. But the other thing was serious, I think it had something to do with empressions and memory that would get bottled up.

And btw, the internet's own boy.

Because that isn't how the brain works, there is no instance where you can use all of your brain at one particular moment but you do use all of your brain.
