Just out of curiosity what is LTT Forums preference out of these two free games?

Not tried Rift, but i have played Tera. I quite like it, but i'd say buy Guild Wars 2 & stick with that.

I agree but GW2 is not free but free to play but yes i would pick that as well!!!!

Ive never heard of it but i just looked it up and it looks pretty decent!

Not played Rift, but TERA is one of my favourite games. The combat system is what puts it above things like GW2 for me. PSO2 comes in close to TERA in terms of combat, but the size of the game and the lack of depth sort of undermine that.

been playing the beta and me and most of my guild that have played it LOVES it, soo much to do and awesome pvp. and will be free to play

I'm liking the sounds of this! I watched a little bit of the game play and works and looks a lot like gw2 but is it true there are no like set classes?

They are not really comparable to be honest. They play completely differently. Though if we were to look at the sense of MMO then RIFT. I dislike rift though because you can literally play PvE in 1 button. Tera has something, it feels like fighting in tekken/SSF but it's an MMO. It's funneh.

you build your class from 3 sub classes you pick, and you can combine and switch them as you please at any time,

 

and its more like Wow then GW2 when it comes to combat. seeing as you will have like 30 abilities and skills

You can play some of the classes (Don't know names but saw videos on live against bosses) of people spamming a well-made macro and did top 5 dps.

I can promise you that you were seeing something other than what you think since the Macros in Rift DO NOT work like that. The person must have been using a third party macro program to do his rotation which you can do in ANY hot bar mmo and make it work very very well. Not to mention top 5 dps is relative, the rest of his group could have been trash and made his dps look like it was a lot.

Only it was a server first kill so I doubt they were trash. And no there was no third party program. (At least) back then you could just queue everything up using 1 macro.

Then you do not understand what I said or I simply didn't say it well enough. This guy was spamming 1 hotkey (You can see him pressing it due to the icon of the macro changing what it looks like, as you can see in every game with buttons with hotkeys like WoW, LoL and so forth) and that's all he did throught the entire fight except for when he needed to pop a CD which could not be macro'd.
