Hi all, I replaced the stock Thermaltake Contac 30 fan with a Noctua NF-P12 and used a Cooler Master A12025 for the exhaust fan. I have the NF-P12 plugged into the CPU_FAN slot and the A12025 into the SYS_FAN2 slot. My temps usually never exceeded 35c, now my temps are averaging around 40c. How can I increase the RPM of the NF-P12? I haven't even started a stability test yet, afraid my PC will crash. The air being exhausted is very cool and my room temp is 25c. Is the solution something as simple as switching the NF-P12 with the A12025? Or is there a way to increase the RPM of my NF-P12?

If it's not maxed out already, you can always (almost) set the CPU fan to 100% in BIOS.

In Gigabyte BIOS? Also my exhaust fan keeps getting really loud, sounds like an aeroplane

Oh and another thing, my CPU temp skyrocketed to 109c when opening Speccy

Is your thermal paste good?

As a matter of fact, no. The layer of thermal paste on it is very thin. I'll ask my step dad for some thermal paste when he gets home and post results here

You could use the low noise adapter that comes with the Noctua fan on your Coolermaster fan to make it run quieter.

Temp spiking just with Speccy is clearly sensor error. Also 40C for idle isn't that much. Its summertime on northern hemisphere. If your ambient temp is higher than it normal would be that can be seen in idle temps also.

Well my temp got to 75c when running Prime 95 so I closed it before it got to 80c, I think I just need new thermal paste so I'm gonna buy some AS5
