You are an elephant who can run up to 1000 km/h. You can accelerate to this speed in 8 seconds. You have to jump over a long gap between to sides of a canyon. You have 100m between you and the edge of your side of the canyon. The gap is 1km wide. You also have shoes with 20m tall super bouncy springs. If you run too fast you become unstable and fall. If you run too slow you wont make the jump.  Will you jump?

Well what about gypsies in spaceships that can go upto 10000km/h and with laser axes that cut any material with just a touch.
