Memory 4x4 or 2x8 ?

So basicly I have to choose either a 2x 4x2 or a 2x8 kit. Wich one should I get ?

If you have socket 2011 you can use Quad Channel.

2x8 makes more sense unless you are on X79 and need quad channel.

Try and always find one stick with all you need, or the minimal amount of sticks to make up what you need.
