Well I wouldn't expect it to perform as well as your i5. That's like a ferrari vs a PT Cruiser (exaggeration I know lol, not that good with cars)

It's a good chip, but that core limitation holds it to some really specific tasks. GTA IV (yes, one of the worst optimized PC games as of late) eats shit at medium settings with the Pentium, meanwhile it blazes through ultra with my i5. People seem to forget about it's limitations.

Microcenter has amazing deals and the 6300 is what had the best price/performance at the time. And I'm not in love with Intel CPU's per se, more so their budget ones (like under $100) :P
