Mionix Naos 8200 vs. 7000

abhay6547

They're priced pretty much the same and I was wondering which one I should get. The 8200 has a faster processor and better lighting features, while the 7000 has an optical sensor. Is there really a big difference between laser and optical? I mean I have acceleration on, anyways.

If you use acceleration anyway, there's not much point going optical.

Laser has acceleration issues, processor speed doesn't matter in those mice

I've always found higher DPI to be gimmicky, because honestly you probably aren't going to be using it over like, 1500 DPI (I'd argue that's too high, unless you have a 1440p or 4k monitor)

I'd suggest you guy the 7000, as it doesn't have hardware acceleration. You'd still be able to add software acceleration, but it would be more predictable.

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

I'd got with the better optical sensor in 7000 any day over the crappy laser in 8200.
