Ergonomic mice like Mionix Naos 8200 or Func MS3-R2

But the difference between the 7000 and the 8200 is only like $2. I don't think acceleration is a big problem for me, but I'm still not sure.

Go with the 7000, so that it won't have hardware acceleration. Then use mionix software to enable software acceleration. It's just safer.

So I really like the ergonomic design of these two mice. I'm planning to get the Naos in a couple weeks, but could end up get the MS3 instead. Are there any other mice that have similar ergonomics that I can consider taking a look at?

Why? Because it's laser and not optical?

More or less. Optical doesn't have acceleration issues, and stuttering issues at low dpi settings. The accuracy difference is basically negligable, because you aren't going to notice that much anyway. And you'll save yourself money on getting an optical mouse instead

I personally have the func MS-3, and quite like it. My only gripe is that DPI is only scale-able in 90 DPI increments. I'm seriously considering replacing it for that, as i can't use my preferred DPI

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Okay and will the 72MHz processor in the 8200 have any significant benefit compared to the 32MHz one on the 7000?

Probably not, A processor shouldn't be doing too much in a mouse anyhow.

lol true. I'm just finding it hard to understand why they made a mouse with an inferior sensor at a higher price and with some added features.

Because they assume people will buy it because of the added features, without really thinking about what they're buying,

Marketing. People who don't do their research just go for the newer and fancier laser with higher DPI number thinking its better.
