Hey guys, I am planing a future build, and I wanted to know what all of you think of it. At the moment these are the components I've chosen. (Yes the parts well be changing until the day I actually start buying and assembling the build.) I plain on using this build for gaming, overclocking, messing around with Linux, everyday use and I'm addicted to YouTube. I will most likely be using a single 1440 p monitor. It is kinda value oriented, and I would prefer it to be power efficient.

Thanks

Do not get an I7 if you are going to be gaming. Get an I5-4690k instead and put the saved money to something else like 1866MHz memory from G.SKILL, an 840 EVO instead of kingston. You could also upgrade the PSU to 500-550W and get an R9 290 because that card is incredible. Since you already have an SSD it doesn't really make sense to get a hybrid drive. I would just go for a standard 1TB HDD unless you want the extra speed associated with a hybrid drive.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861
