Low-Mid Tablet Recommendation pls

Puma911

My Dad wants to buy a tablet to replace his ancient Laptop so I'm doing what I can to help him. I've learned much about desktops in the last year but I'm still pretty oblivious when it comes to mobile devices. Any suggestions or warnings about certain ones to avoid are appreciated.

$200-$400 usd price range

He will basically be using it for web browsing and emails, possibly a 20GB music library (probably smaller now that I think about it).

It needs some kind of speaker on it (I assume tablets all come with speakers these days but I thought I should mention that) for youtube videos mostly.

Definitely at least a 10 inch full HD display.

If it came with a keyboard that would be nice but if not it should have the ability to attach an aftermarket one. He will probably use it while sitting on the couch in front of the tv most often- a cover that folds into a stand or some such thing would be preferable.

Otherwise if someone knows of a good laptop or 2 in one for the money He is open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance

AMD FX 8350, ASUS Sabertooth 990fx R2.0, Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4x4GB 1866, PNY GTX780, Corsair HX850, Phantom 630, Samsung 120GB SSD, WD Black 2TB HDD

Rest in peace, legend.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Gigabyte RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, 4TB Samsung SSD, and a crippling depression that causes me to buy games and not play them lol

Personally I still love the iPad as far as 10" tablets go though some will disagree, just I konw my parents find my iPad nice and easy to navigate and understand

If you want a 2 in 1 the asus t100 is a great windows hybrid

I'll look into the ASUS t100. My parents have never used Apple anything (and neither have I actually lol) so a Windows or Android flavor would probably be a better fit. Thanks for the tip.

Doesnt really matter they would pick up iOS really easy, I used to train people on iPads as part of my job and they were WAY easier to teach than android where more people left more confused than before

The surface RT is a good tablet too especially with the keyboard covers! not many apps but for basics its great

Yea that makes sense. I suppose for him an apple device might not be a terrible idea. I guess the only hurdle is the price and lack of a physical keyboard.
