They didn't have my graphics card but it is a 7970 sapphire

So my sapphire is going to have to go back for rma to sapphire, I have no idea how long that will take. So before I send it off I am going to purchase another graphics card so that I wont be without a computer for school and stuff. My thought was to just get another graphics card that will crossfire with the sapphire when it comes back. So I need it to be a two slot graphics card at most and I believe the r9 280X is the card I have to use.

1. Budget & Location
U.S.  around $350 but could be $400. Purchase date in the next month 1/2

2. Aim
To add to my gaming a once I get back the other graphics card.

3. Monitors
I currently have only one eventually I would like to do 2 or 3 but for now just the one.

So my question is what card, what after market card, and other tips for switching card and crossfire.

yes you can use the 280X which is a rebrand of the HD7970

when you get back your Sapphire

be sure to clock up a bit higher to match the speed of the 280X

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

ok wich one should I get I believe it has to be no more than a 2 slot for my motherboard. also APrettyCoolWalrus I don't know how to do that but I will look into it.

check MSI,Gigabyte, Sapphire and PowerColor

when you complete your build on PCPartPicker there is a button near the right saying export/markup

press that then select the second option BBCode
