Best Custom Cooler

So,

 

I'm not sure whether to get a R9 290X or a GTX 780 Ti. Most of the non reference cards from the major venders share the same aftermarket cooler.

 

I'm wondering, what is the quietest custom cooler that is either on a R9 290X or a GTX 780 Ti.

 

I'm trying to make my rig as quiet as possible and at the moment the GTX 580 is by far the loudest component.

 

(I guess the 780 non-Ti and 290 non-X are also possibilities)

i think on the 780ti the Windforce 3X cooler is the coolest and quietest, anyway i wouldn't buy the card.

At the moment in switzerland, a 780ti is about 700.- and a 290X is 450.- so basically a 780ti is 50% more expensive than a 290x and i doubt that it will be 50% more powerful....

OK, look at the nVidia only features. Do they make you want the card? If not, then go with a GIGABYTE 290X. If you DO want the nVidia only features, then get a GIGABYTE 780Ti. Why GIGABYTE? Best cooling availible, sexy, comes overclocked and is super easy to even overclock even further.

you do know you can ship from Amazon.de to Switzerland for free? I lived for a while in Interlaken

 

At 450 Francs the 290x is a steal. I'd recommend the Tri-X, Vapour-X or PCS+, if you can get them at that price range.

 

May I ask where you're shopping, maybe next time I go to Switzerland I'll get myself a 290x
