7850 Unplayable?

Go to solution Solved by shiftberry,

try downloading the latest drivers, check the GPUs temps! there might be some overheating problems!

I have an xfx core 850 and for a few months now battlefield 4 is now unplayable at pretty much every setting. I tried lowering the resolution and even the resolution scale and nothing helps. Please post tips. (My card is 1gb)

Is it playable at 1024x768 lowest settings? I haven't had an issue with this so far on my XFX Core 6870 but honestly if I did I'd just throw it away and get a new card. Freaking tired of XFX's BS

I have a 7870 which is hardly any better than a 7850 and i don't experience any problems. may be a driver issue.

Maybe it's dying? If so, is it still under warranty? Thermal paste issues? Did you check the temperatures while it's running since it could be overheating.

and for settings?

if you right click on the Catalyst Control Center icon in the tray and choose your GPU which will be Radeon 7800 then go to 3D settings > Standard Settings and choose one from there. i have mine set to optimal quality

what about in game

i usually don't change the settings, i've only changed settings in Minecraft because AMD cards suck at physics and my shaders weren't working right
