As long as you get it from a good brand like Seagate, WD, Toshiba, Samsung, etc. You should be fine, and amazon reviews can also be pretty helpful.

Hi RapidRampage245, kind of agree with antoainb. But if you always travel, you might need a smaller size for mobility and longer warranty period too. I would suggest that either My Passport Ultra or My Passport Slim will suit you better but they will cost you more. Depending on your budget, both of them are trust for their reliability.
