As someone who uses their computer as a plex server (with plex pass so I have syncing) this isn't exactly useful for me, but it is interesting.

 

I think I would go with the old model though personally.

Ok so with the 2 coming out... I might just grab the 1, surely it'll go down in price with the new model out right?

 

EDIT: Nope... the 2 is cheaper... well in the UK at least...

Does it offer a samba share? it is simple to add, and it would be a shame if this device did not have this. For the android side of things, a more compatible samba share will allow people to use already made applications that have great UI's such as dice player for media, and ES file explorer for file management and searching.

 

Why must these companies force users to use their crappy proprietary software? just use the already tried and true standards that offer more functionality with little to no effort.

Did anyone else feel like Linus was speaking really fast? Seems rushed.
