So, I'm just curious to know if there are any MMOs on the horizon that people here are keeping an eye on.. We've recently seen the release of ESO and Wildstar which were two of the bigger MMO releases in my book, but I'm unaware of any big titles that are supposed to come next, aside from maybe Everquest Next (or if you consider games like Day Z or Star Citizen MMOs).

Personally, I was thinking about checking out Wildstar, but I'm not a fan of subscription fees. I have no trouble affording them, but I despise the idea of taking a break for a few months, and then having to pay $15 simply to figure out if the game is worth playing again. I like the Guild Wars 2 payment model a lot, and while I've still been enjoying the WvW/PvP, it's certainly not an Endgame Raiding MMO. I've always been more of a PvP person, but I did a little bit of raiding back in WoW, and with a fun guild, I found raiding to be reasonably enjoyable. I suppose I'm curious to know if there are any buy-to-play MMOs with raiding that look promising.

But anyway, yeah, are there any MMOs you guys are looking forward to?

(inb4 "MMOs suck!")

ArcheAge and Black Desert, personally.
Also, Star Citizen of course.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

Even though some people don't consider DayZ a MMO I still think it is a MMO. The standalone is still a buggy, unfinished piece of garbage but if they start making it anything like the Arma 2 mod DayZ and even better eventually, I feel that it might be one of the greatest MMO's of it's style ever.

I bought into the Archeage alpha a while ago upon a friends request and I enjoy it.  The beta weekends have just started (this weekend is the first).  The PvP is pretty good, and there are other aspects of the game that are intriguing, but for the most part I'd wait til it's released and F2P.

I found ArcheAge to be absolutely horrendous. It has NO content whatsoever, and most of the good reviews it is getting are purely based on the pseudo-innovative mechanics they implemented, and the engine it is using.

It may be better depending on who you are affiliated with, my group does fairly well and the people are fun to roll with.  If you're by yourself or an inactive group, then it's just monotonous.  That's any mmo though since I still have fun trolling in Ultima Online on a freeserver

Blade & Soul's worldwide release since it's Korea-only since 2012 - China and Japan had a 2013 and 2014 release, respectively. So, B&S will look sort of outdated, but it's combat system is like TERA's and Guild War 2's where you do more than just spam skills. I think there's a combo system, but I don't really know.

If you're into Warhammer 40k, you definatley would love Eternal Crusade.

https://www.eternalcrusade.com/

Dark Millenium Online was meant to be the Warhammer 40k MMO, but that went tits up because THQ went bankrupt. Another group came forward and began Eternal Crusade, which i am very excited for. Only downside, is they've paired with Nvidia so AMD users are gonna get shafted, as usual.
