AX1500i is better than both IMHO.

Rosewill=cheap no-name brand of newegg

 

Also you don't need 1600W. If you DID need that much power, you would probably have 4 GPUs and could afford something better like an AX1500i.

I know but it is also $150-200 more.

Well, if someone is buying a computer that needs 1500w then I'm sure they can fit that into the budget.

Worth it at that price point.

Don't bash Rosewill, It's actually a decent brand.

well this build is a while off, I am planning to wait until a little after haswell-e comes out then get 3-4 290x's and everything under water.

I a little while the 290x will be old and outdated and there will be stuff that performs better.

Also SLI and Crossfire scale horribly. You will usually get worse fps with 4 cards than 3.

If the build is a while out, don't get any parts yet. Just plan what you want your build to be like. Also if you plan on buying a Haswell-E proc and 3-4 290x GPUs then why are skimping so much on the PSU? I personally wouldn't recommend either of them.
