I'm looking for the best ITX casing for a build, The person requested for the case to be portable and small and able to fit his pre-purchaased asus R9 290X. He's flying to america to study in a university in new york so he can carry onto a plane, I did suggest the BitFenix Prodigy M but he calls it "Bulky"

Node 304

This.

I just built a computer in it. It was so sweet. Getting an SFX PSU gives you extra room for wires, so I recommend it.

Actually some people say the 250D has problems fitting the Asus R9 290X DCU II becuase the heatpipes are too close to the window. I don't know if that is true, I also don't know whether your friend bought the reference or DCU II model, so therfore it moght not even be an issue.

So if it fits, I think the 250D is awesome. I also like the looks of the Node 304, and the advantage here is definitely the bigger CPU coolers, although the 250D has great radiator support for such a small case. Then again the 304 only fits small PSUs......

They both have their advantages, I would go for the 250D.

Then, sadly, I would not get the 250D unless someone here confirms that it is a non issue.

node not in stock and Patric thinks the prodigy is too big

Yes prodigy is big, but it is capable to carrying around, the size can easily fits airplane cabin (only just). its not big, its FAT. that makes it look big but its all up to you. I think prodigy is one of the best itx case. the node probably your best choice as it support full tower air cooler, full length gpu, full size psu and upto 6 HDD, the airflow is great, its small and got good looks. If you really want the smallest case possible then the evgahadron air

Define ITX case :P

My H440 has ITX standoffs

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Caselabs is coming out with a new mITX case that is about 20-25% smaller in volume than their current Mercury S3. I would wait and see how it is. They teased it at PDX LAN last week:

There's the NCase M1, but I don't know if they're in stock at all.

-snip-

It's not mine. Googled for it.

And that's just a reference for if the cooler he has is too long. I think the Tri-X is longer but I'm not sure.
