Hey guys, I have the corsair 600t case, which has an optional mesh side to add up to 4 120mm fans. I have 4 120mm fans that are not doing anything, so do you think that I should put these in to the case? My cpu tends to run at about 60-72 constantly when gaming, and has a max temp of 66.8, so I am worried. Would the extra case fans work?

You think it will make a difference to temps?

If you post your complete specs we could maybe tell you. The thing is, additional airflow only makes a huge difference if your airflow wasn't that good to begin with. If you already have a well ventilated case then additional fans will not make a huge difference.

It is a little cramped in the case, and I am sure that when gaming the gpus are heating up the cpu a lot, which is why I thought side fans blowing directly onto the gpus could help.

Well that might be quite useful. When I run intelburntest, under 100% load on maximum setting my cpu max temp is 61 degrees C. When gaming it often reaches much higher than this, which I believe is probably the gpu causing it, so the extra fans might help. Or at least thats what I thought :P

66.8 is fine if you are running stock cooling lol

4 side 120mm fans will definitely help with your GPU temps but not really with your CPU temps. If you have stock fans on that H100i I'd change those and put good pressure optimized fans in push first, Noctua NF-F12's or Noiseblock E-loops or do push pull on it with the 4 fans. Pretty crazy build you have there, may I ask what you do with it?

So you think changing the stock fans for something like the NF-F12s which have a lower RPM would make a difference to cooling? I only ask because when gaming I have to run the stock fans at a very high RPM to get sufficient cooling, so I am concerned that a fan with lower RPM would give worse results.

What the NF-F12's lack in RPM they make up in superior static pressure, plus the low fpi thin rad on the H100i is no match for the NF-F12. Also you can get the 2000/3000 RPM PPC versions of the NF-F12 if you're worried about the RPM being too low. Before you spend cash on this tho, I'd put those 4 120mm's you have lying around in push/pull on the H100i, and see what temps you get.

Sidefans are for GPU when you are using aftermarket cooler on CPU. They don't have any effect on CPU. Or any major. Or noticable. For GPU they help by adding more fresh and cool air to use. So if you add them, use those as intake.  And position them above GPU.
