Keep the truck.get a professional to get rid of the mouse. And also all the unnecessary heavy stuff from the truck like the pickup bed, spare wheels, rear seats, road tyres. Make it an F-150 superleggera. You could also try detune/retune it for fuel efficiency.

I have no clue about trucks but just to give you some idea.

Yeah...cuz who needs spare tires!

Get rid of the fuel tank too, those are wicked heavy...especially with a full tank.

OP- Talk to your dad about what you wan to do with the truck that he's giving you.  If he's OK with it, go for it.  Otherwise, he gave you the truck, I'm guessing you're living in his house, eating his food, and paying for your insurance...so if he's not interested in you trading in the truck, live with it.  It's better not to bite the hand that feeds.  Trucks are awesome...chicks dig 'em.

I will say this. A truck is way more valuable as a rural vehicle than a car is. You should be more appreciative. When I was around that age, I got nothing and didn't complain. You children and your entitlements.

Could you persuade your dad to sell the F-150 and buy something smaller instead?
