Hi,

I just now decided to build a new system. But first of i have llittle knowledge of the latest products available in the market. So need some assistance in chosing the rite one.

1. Country: INDIA

2. Its a gaming come movies\music rig.

3. Budget is 1500 to 2000$ (Can extend if the need arises)

4. Already have products.

    - 2 X 24in Dell LED monitors

    - 1 X GTX 660Ti

5. Need
    - Cabinet: Have shortlisted to Corsair Obsidian Series 900D

    - CPU: Intel Core i7 Haswell

    - Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Extreme

    - RAM: A good one of ur suggestion

    - SMPS: A good one of ur suggestion
    - CPU Cooler: Water cooler of ur suggestion.

Note:

I am not going to overclock my system ever, cos i dont know how how to do it. Bt i am open to it in the future at the same time its not a must. Next is i have checked the Ivy bridge and the Asus P9X79-E WS and i am impressed but dont know which one to chose from the Haswell or the ivy. I Chose the Haswell for now cos it was the latest in proccessor. I dont want to spend too much for a RAM bt at the same time if its really needed will try to extend the budget. I would like a good suggestion for SSD and HDD and i would like to know abt RAID cos i know nothing of it and is it really needed ?

I have system running 24\7. I never switch it off and restart only if it hangs or crashes.

My friend is coming from the US so i can buy stuff from Amazon and he will bring it to my place. So thts not a problem.

I play only DOTA2 but my wife uses the system to work from home. She connects to her office server.

We use the system to watch Movies (HD movies and TV shows). And i convert HD movies to the format needed to play in my car and other devices frequently.

If anything else is left out do let me know i will be of assistance.

I want to know wether the stuff i have said is n the right path.

I want to know which is better Haswell or Ivy ?

I want ur suggestion for a 1500 $ and above PC.

I guess you want to know if you should get Haswell or Ivy Bridge-E. For gaming, get Haswell refresh.

What is an SMPS?
