A long time, they usually last longer than hard drives. And even hard drives last very long if you treat them properly.

*Cough cough* Google Play *cough cough*

Your SSD will be fine for anything, but using it for iTunes is just a stupid idea. iTunes isn't a game, or a media application, or something that requires instant load times. Music uses tiny amounts of I/O, there is literally nothing an SSD would do for music.

I might be wrong.

Probably longer than you will use it...

This is very true. In most cases, even original 64/80GB SSD's from 2008 era, such as the first SanDisk's or even the good model OCZ drives are kicking around.

(Please refrain from spay/neutering me over OCZ's SSD's; yes I'm aware Toshiba bought OCZ, and yes I'm aware of their track record. Some models were actually decent, however.)

The Google Play idea would be great if us Canadians actually had decent upload speed for a fair price. (Major cities exempt; even small yet densely populated areas like Vancouver Island don't have the best of rates when compared to Europe or even USA.)

Still rocking 3x Agility 3's in this house in varied machines, 3 good ones :)

Heard some horror stories though about OCZ, but glad I never experienced them first hand.

My 830Pro is kicking Awesome, which is Expected.

But yeah, these days they would last longer than most builds people do.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

i think it was the vertex, where 70% of them didnt work after one month anymore, i saw some articles where people said, that all their data was gone over night ''not a single bit was left''

OCZ ain't the same. It's Toshiba now and they're a whole different kettle of fish compared to OCZ of old. I would recommend the new OCZ's. But not over Evo's or MX100's. Go with the money. Cheapest gb's wins.

are the new OCZ vector 150 reliable now? I heard it is nearly as good as a 840 evo

Toshiba has a good rep with their NAND flash. They keep showcasing drives that are wickedly fast, like the fastest made so they must be doing something right. Don't forget that they co own a fab with SanDisk as well. So there's good stuff there.

The one thing they don't do is try to get to the cheapest area of town. If you need cheap drives I wouldn't look at them, stick with Samsung or Crucial.
