How much Vram do you really need?

Don't forget the Sapphire Tri-X. It's cheaper than the Toxic, has a down clocked version of the chip and OCs very well.

Even as an Nvidia fanboy I know the 280X > 770. I wouldn't personally use one due to the lack of features that I find important, but in a straight up and down debate the 280X is the better option.

In my experience it doesn't matter with any GPU with memory interface bandwidth lower that 256-bit as for some reason it rarely uses the extra Vram but if the GPU has a memory interface bandwidth of 256-bit or higher get the GPU with larger Vram and be astounded by the quality.
