So recently I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 but I have been noticing that sometimes I will lose my internet connection and I will have to reconnect my wireless dongle (Netgear Wireless N 300 USB). So my question is, does anyone have a fix or sort of fix to this problem? Any input would be great.

Must be a driver issue. Get the latest wireless drivers, uninstall the wireless drivers now, restart, and install the latest one. See if that helps.

If not, make sure that your Ethernet port is unplugged. Windows 8 will auto switch to a better connection if detected. It might be switching to wired.

If that is not the case for you, plug the wireless adapter on a different USB port. Make sure that the USB port next to it, is not in use.

Lastly, perhaps your NetGear Wireless adapter has issues with Windows 8. Try and contact NetGear for maybe their latest Beta driver or assistance. Maybe they know a trick that needs to be done in order for the wireless to work properly under Windows 8.

If all else fails, you may need to buy another one, one that is truly Windows 8 ready.
