If I were to run two MSI lightning 780's in SLI, would an 850 watt power supply be enough for the both of them?

 

MSI recommends 600 watt minimum for a single of these cards, and i know two won't require 1200 watts. 

 

So, will a corsair RM 850 be enough for two lightning in SLI?

You should be fine if you don't have anything crazy going on. I always like headroom so I'd opt for a 1000 watt but 850 is fine.

850Watts will be fine. The minimum wattage on the box includes power taken from your CPU and everything else, the card doesn't straight up drain 600watts.
