I am a first time builder and I need some advice as to what changes I could make to make this a better rig.  I am looking for a maximum of $2000 in total.  I want it to be able to run the new Witcher 3 on Ultra when it comes out and have a fairly good fps. I also would like to be able to overclock a fair bit.  If you guys could make any suggestions that would be great!

Here is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RRbNgs

You are not going to run The Witcher 3 on Ultra at 30 FPS if it's anything like The Witcher 2 and Crysis 3 are with a GTX 760 if they follow that route of making high-end GPUs dying on high settings. Also, 16GB of RAM is unnecessary unless you're video-editing, rendering, etc.

That cpu isn't to necessary save money by buying a 4770k or 4670k and the use the money towards a r9 290 (non or x) or a 780.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

What is with these MSI motherboard recommendations these days?  Every single time I see one I want to puke.  Seriously Gigabyte is more reliable and offers just as much at a better price.  Also if I was going to spend more on a motherboard I sure as heck wouldn't look at MSI first.  It would be Asus.

As for a cpu get something in the $200 range if you need something newer and oc it.  If you don't mind going cheap on the cpu get a bang for your buck cpu like an FX 6300 or similar for far less.

Since this pc is about gaming just get a 3 TB Seagate hard drive 7200 rpm and be done with it.  Any SSD recommendation is worthless as it hardly ever helps in gaming situations.  Basically it will load up computer generated movies faster.  Whoop Tee Do Dah!  Take that money and keep it or put it into getting a better video card or video cards.

Also if you are about gaming consider Nvidia cards because they allow you to play games the way they were meant to be played and that means physX on.  It does add something to games.  If you don't care about playing games the way they are meant to be played for all titles then there are some really affordable AMD offerings right now that are better for the buck compared to Nvidia.  Oh and about MSI for video cards I think considering they pissed off Nvidia because they didn't listen to what they were told and did something Nvidia said not to do I can't trust that brand for video cards and I think you should not trust them either.

In regards to PSUs look at Antec or SeaSonic and there is no reason you can't find a very good psu at $70 to $100.  No need to be going higher than that.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S
