PCIE or SATA

So I have the choice of going with a small (240gb-400gb) PCI-E SSD and a HDD like a Velocoraptor or a single SSD. What should I go for?

Option B. Then upgrade to sata express if your motherboard is Z97

PCIe SSDs are just a bunch of trouble to boot from, and really they are just two SSDs in raid 0 (or is it raid1? i forgot...) to get faster speeds

But still if one drive fails all is lost. Just get a single sata SSD and add a HDD in the future if you need more storage.

Some of the older ones are RAID 0 the newer ones are pure SSD goodness. I would be getting an older one

I have no idea what you mean by this...

Im pretty confident all the PCIe SSDs getting near 1GBps read/write have two sets of nand flash in raid.

Even the sata express SSD prototypes are raid too.
