Hello everyone! I have a simple question.

Well im looking to buy a new CPU/MOBO/RAM

So im not really a pc gamer since all my friends game on ps3. But i would like a PC that can do some light video rendering and light gaming if i ever want to.

so i was thinking of getting an AMD fx8350 but the chipset(970/990fx) seems pretty old (pcie 2.0) and i dont really know when their next line of chips are coming out. Does this line of chips have integrated graphics? or just their apu series? i also have a gts250 512mb from nvidia but i think intel's/amd's  integrated graphics can top that? lol

so the other option was a z77 route 3570k is like the top of my budget.

i would also like to futureproof my system which is why i would have liked to wait for z87 but ive read somewhere that the only benefit is power savings? I still would like to have the latest chipset but the prices will go down before haswell.

So the big question is which would perform best? : Fx8350 or A10 apu(best one) or 3570k

mind you im also looking at motherboard prices. i think ill go with 16gb kit of corsair vengance 1600mhz for 120USD.

my budget is about for the most 450USD for mobo/cpu/ram

can you link a possible motherboard that is cheap and looks good? heh...i was thinking the gigabyte one linus showed on netlinked weekly but its ugly imo :/

thanks for your input :)

right now im using an asus 1000ha netbook that overheats now haha

All on a 450 USD Budget! would be a nice upgrade and full atx compatability. its the same setup as my wife and works great for her.

I'd get an FX-6300 or an A10, if I were you. Wait until Haswell comes out, though; it'll probably affect CPU prices, even on the AMD side.

If you aren't doing heavy rendering, a 6300 would be fine, and is pretty much the ideal budget CPU, along with the A10, which will perform worse in rendering, but has a great iGPU.

Wait for haswell. Intel AND amd prices should drop.

Haswell isn't going to do you much good with a $450 budget.  I'd say go the APU route at that point, like sk8ermanblue suggested.

Intel Core i7-7700K | EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW | ASUS ROG Strix Z270G Gaming | 32GB G-Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4-3200 | Corsair AX860i

Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 3 Samsung 950 Pro 256GB | Samsung 850 Evo 1TB | EKWB Custom Loop | Noctua NF-F12(x4)/NF-A14 LTT Special Edition

Dell S2716DGR | Corsair K95 RGB Platinum (Cherry MX Brown) | Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum | FiiO E17 DAC/Amp | Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro

At a you might as well raise your budget. Getting an APU won't give you much upgrade option in terms of GPU in the future. Has well would probably push AMD to drop price cause they are usually aggressive with their pricing schemes. When it comes to waiting I generally don't wait unless the next generation is right on the doorstep like Has well is right now. If you wait for what's coming you will always be stick waiting cause there's always something new coming out in the computer world :P
