i have an evga gtx 780 with acx cooler,recently started seeing blue pixels in all black portions of the screen and what looks like lightning on the ground esp.when running valley benchmark.there are white patches that flicker also.is this a software issue or is card damaged? i noticed this after taking to lan, could drive over have damaged card?

its possible your card is on it way out.

First off check your temps make sure its not over heating.

 

If its not then it prob means your gfx memory is throwing a fit.

Which is not possible to fix so ether take your card back if its under warranty.

 

If not then your kinda boned you could try contacting the manufacturer.

They might be able to help you out if not well there is not much you can do.

Had a problem like this before with a 660ti, sounds like you got a card with a bad ddr5 chip on it.

--but--

I would re-seat the card as going to a lan and back could have loosened it.

It certainly sounds like a GPU hardware or hear issue. If you've overclocked your graphics card, reset it to stock because that's the most likely cause, then try again. If that's not relevant, or didn't help, check your GPU temps using a program like MSI afterburner or EVGA precision. If it's staying below 90C (~190F) then that's likely not the issue, so open an RMA ticket with EVGA. They are apparently very good with RMAs, so are likely to replace it as long as it is faulty.
