Whats the best Thermal Paste on the market?

All the high end brands only vary by a couple of degrees, so it doesn't really matter.

Personally i use MX-2.

It's hard to find the very best compound, but the Prolimatech Pk1, Pk2 and Pk3 is as good as it gets.

I would aslo recommend the Antec Formula 7.

Artic Silver MX-X are indeed reputable compounds, they were the best back then, now things have changed.

There isn't much difference between the bulk of them that are on the market. If you look into the top end brands you might see a bit of difference but not a huge amount that it makes the difference between 4.8Ghz and 5.1.

I use Arctic Silver 5. Its probably the most widely available but has a 200 hour cure time according to them. I think stuff like Thermal Fusion has no cure time and works just as good.

I use Noctua nh-t1. I haven't tried other thermal pastes, but this one was easy to spread out, and provides good results.

I use MX-4 , AS5, NT-H1, pk1 and last but not least Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra. Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra is the Top of the line for Thermal compound, it's made out of 100% liquid Metal. It is not for the faint of heart. You have to be very careful with this stuff. you have to use a commercial paint brush to apply it and you can not touch it, It will eat your skin. You also have to use it on 100% cooper if this stuff hits anything aluminum it has a cemecail reaction that eats at the aluminum. if you delidd your cpu that's were you will see the most improvement. A 15-20c deference in temps if you just use it on the heat spreader your looking at 10-13c on temp drops. price is around $19.99 for 1gram of it but it is worth it. I love this stuff :)

I use TIM Consultants Quantum, it is only $5 for a tube and it worked as good or better than MX-4 in the testing I did.

MX-4, NT-H1, IC diamond, Ceramique, Tuniq TX-4 and Gelid GC extreme are all pretty good. If you want the best performance go for Indigo extreme or Coolaboratory liquid ultra, but they are a lot of work to put on and take off, so you might just want to go with some normal TIM.

I've been using Gelid thermal compound. Don't remember where I got the tube from but i seem to get really good temps.

I use MX-2, MX-4, NT-H1, or Gelid GC Extreme. You can also go for liquid metal ultra or indigo extreme; they have better results, but are very hard to use.
