Hard Drive advice

I have 2 computers first off. One i never use as it is old and crappy, and the one I use now which is WAY WAY WAY better. I have a HDD in both obviously but I want to take the drive from the old box and install it in my system. I have Win8.1 64-bit in my new PC and Windows 7 HP 64-bit in the old one. Can I put my old HDD in my new Computer with the OS still on it? I have a couple of files on the old drive (Get your mind out of the gutter now because thats NOT what I mean :P) And I'd like to have them Thanks

Yes, it will just show the files on the drive as it does after it's booted. Programs run from that drive probably won't work, but files like music and documents will work like from a USB drive.

Yes, but make sure you don't boot from the drive at startup. You will be able to access its contents from windows explorer.
