MS Paint Alternative

Go to solution Solved by Guest Kloaked,

Gimp?

I need an alternative for the allmighty legend of all photo editing programs, aka MS Paint. I have a graph and i need to cut some text and replace it with new text but it must import and export my graph in high res unlike MS paint.

Short background story: The graph is from my (almost finished) bachelor's thesis and the trial of the program, which i created the graph with has expired.

who cares...

I would use GIMP just Google search gimp and it should come up it has a lot of feature a bit of a learning curve but there are loads of videos on YouTube for tutorials and of coarse plenty of people on the forum could help, if you want to invest adobe Photoshop, it comes in different packages starting with beginner and then more advance but fair warning it can be a bit expensive.

Autodesk's Sketchbook Express (Free, windows and mac, also iOS) http://www.sketchbook.com/express

There is a nag to upgrade to pro when you open the application, just hit one [X]... but it is really REALLY good. Especially if you have a pen tablet, I use an old bamboo fun with it.

I know this has been answered, but I thought it should be added, because it's just so wonderful. And I can't believe no one else mentioned it.

I always guarantee that no more than 50% of what I say is useful.
