Best HD TV for 150$ USD for living room?

Mother is desperate for new tv as the other one is dead. I do't want her making  ANOTHER stupid decision by going out immediately and buying some random crap again. Best 150$ HDTV now!

Other than a puny 19" TV I can use for my monitor.

Unfortunately for that price range, anything you pick up is going to be a piece of crap. The Seiki model's might fare the best since they're already a value brand, so you might get a bit more quality out of them compared to a complete no-name brand, or even a big well known brand that has to cover major advertising costs etc.

 

If you want anything with remotely sincere good quality, you're going to have to convince her to raise that budget to at least $300 if not more.

 

If you/she is absolutely firm about $150 budget, then yeah, I guess just pick the biggest TV you can find for the price. They'll likely all be 720P at the 32" size. IF by some chance you find a 1080p 32" model, then quickly check reviews or post the model number here.
