OK, so i got a tpc 612 a few weeks ago, has an AP123 fan on it.

Idle temps at 1500 RPM is 46 degrees C.

Why is this?

 

 

BTW, i have FX-6300, stock clocks

What's the ambient temperature?

Like 75 ish fahrinheit

Well for me 46 Degrees is normal, cpu can withstand up to 90C

idle doesn't matter.

If i recall right, load just got up to like 60 ish prime95 with overclock.

 

I am runnning stock clocks now, as MB could not get stable OC

46C is a bit high but perfectly fine. Was it mounted correctly?

I think. I dont think i messed anything up.

i also should note that i have an fx-6300 with an hyper 103 because hyper 212 evo was out of stock then

Your idle shouldn't be that high with that cooler. 

 

If i recall right, load just got up to like 60 ish prime95 with overclock.

 

I am runnning stock clocks now, as MB could not get stable OC

I used to have an amd 6300 and the processor never went above 52C and that was with the stock heatsink.

Gaming rig- Cpu- Amd 9590, 16gbs of G Skill Ram, Gpu- GTX 760 windforce 3 edition 2gb. A Thermaltake water 2.0 water cooler for my cpu. Keyboard- Thermaltake Posieden , Case- 750D, Mobo Asus 990fx R2.0. 24 inch Dell LED monitor

Well from reading a few dozen reviews it's not the best cooler under the planet and gets average temps.

I saw that it was same or better than 212. And alot prettyer.

 

Your idle shouldn't be that high with that cooler.

This was OC with prime95, so 60 degrees was normal.

 

Ill try remounting it, see if idle is lower.

ONe more thing that might be usefull, idle sytem temp says its 39 degrees celcius, if that matters
