$3000au gaming pc

Hi all,

In 2-3 weeks ill be building a new gaming rig. Its been a long time since Ive had a gaming rig so this is what I have come up with.

My budget and location is $3000au and will be buying parts from Umart and Computer Alliance as they are closest to me and can get the parts at the same price as buying online with postage.

Main aim for this is gaming along with normal web browsing and music but mainly gaming. Games ill be playing are Most shooters like BF4, Metro, Farcry 3 etc, skyrim, Assassins Creed games, racing games, Dayz, Arma series things like that.

I intend on running a single 27" screen Asus PB278Q 1440P.

I went with a higher PSU as will be adding a second 780 ti when i can afford it but will be a while away yet.

Ill be needing peripherals, the ones I have listed are just a guide for pricing so you can change if needed also the headphones are a price guide too.

EDIT - Have changed mobo to MSI gaming 5 also added a HDD, also had to remove keyboard ill just get a cheapy to start with.

750 watts is doable but I will suggest 850 watts if you going to OC your GTX780Ti GPUs

This, and I don't see the point of only getting a 250 gig ssd. 120 + a 1 tb hdd would make more sense. Hell any hdd would make more sense.

That's an awesome computer, but you don't have a hard drive... SSDs fill up really quickly, so you want to get a 1TB, 2TB or how much you need, Western Digital Caviar Black or Seagate Barracuda for your games and other storage.

You have to get the MSI Z97-Gaming 5, because the Gaming 3 is just Crossfire compatible, and when you'll get a second 780Ti, you'll run those in SLI, because they're Nvidia.

Other than that, it's a great rig. You should also get a great overclock on that i5 with the H100i!

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

i honestly wouldnt get a H100I right now, they seem to be going through a rough patch, i've had 2 in the past 3 months and they both failed in the same way... the pump, i'd go with a newer model of AIO if you wanna go corsair. (just a heads up, i know of 3 other people that have bought one recently and all the pumps have failed)
