for single 1200P monitors

the GTX780Ti will be the beast

but for multi-monitor you will need all the VRAM

GPU get outdated like every year eg: GTX880 is coming soon

future proofing is invalid

780ti 3gb for 1200p even at 3x1200p you're fine

Not a chance 5760x1200p is greater than 3K and a single 780ti struggles to max out most games at 1440p (2.7K) mostly due to the 3GB of VRAM.

Futureproofing..... more like validating your purchase to your wife bye saying it will last for years and you wont have to buy another one for years to come!...... Until the next one comes out..... but you tell her you are "futureproofing" lols ;)

Its all looks these days

if I decide to sell you would be able to find on ebay but still debating since futureprooging is stupud and I play cpu intensive games, and the gpu intensive ones are arkham origins which runs at 90fps about but I only se 60 on a pa 248q. Anything potential helpful to say on that

I had lots of money to spend on a new pc lets just say i thought future proofing was a thing, another consideration is r9 29o winforce currently 360 on amazon.

If you care about future proofing to the extent it can make you go down a tier then maybe the highest end cards aren't for you. It's more cost effective to go for mid range cards each gen and sell them next gen tbh. Mid range graphics cards hold their value decently, high end cards do not.

You won't get a good saving selling your ti and buying a gtx 780 6gb brand new so I'd say stick with with the ti for now.

Umm what about r9 290 wind force 360 bucks, still not worth it?

Well it depends, how much did you pay for your 780 ti & how much are you looking for the 780 ti (feel free to pm me if you don't want to say in this thread)? But by the sounds of it and me just assuming you'd get a decent price for the 780 ti I'd say going for the 290 isn't a bad choice; if you could get a 3gb gtx 780 for not much more I'd say go for that as you can overclock a 780 (like 1100mhz?) to a stock 780 ti's performance but the 290 doesn't overclock that well.

My wind force 780ti got it for 660usd of newegg couple months back and on amazon there about 645usd. And just to put this out there what I play is SWTOR ps2 mc occasional arkham origins and some older games, and planning on getting new arkham game other then that, occasionally stream with obs, a 780 3gb or r290 would be just as good from what I can tell they are still above 60 fps and I only see 60fps.

Edit I looked at receipt it was 680usd purchased but had ac black flag so I consider that kinda 60 bucks knocked off sorta.

1200p is my res and I'm still undecided on an upgrade from a GTX 560 ti. I was all set to go for a 780 but then I noticed the 6GB versions. But recently I've turned my attention to the Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X OC 4GB.

Such a difficult decision when the performance is so close.

Yes, yes it is and 780ti in my opinion was wrong choice that I'm trying to fix now, 1200p is not a demanding resolution I don't think. My opinion I could be wrong

1920x1200 and 3 monitors that is around 6.9 mega pixels

very close to 4K resolutions

you need to look at dual GPU setups

and if you don't mind go for either R9 290 CrossFire are dual 290X

I have 3x1200p monitors wired story I only got 2, but wound with three, I tried tri screen gaming I couldn't get into it other then dirt 3 and I don't play that often played SWTOR in surround for a bit but stopped bezels drive me crazy, so I don't see a point in optimizing for tri screen or I would get dual 290s by selling 780 ti. I'm focusing on single 1920x1200p

if you only gaming with one screen

stick with your current GPU

the other monitors can be connected to the mainboard display output or output as secondary screens
