Small upgrade with 3 monitors?

I currently have a GTX 550 TI Amp Edtion  that runs 2 monitors but looking for a slight upgrade that will Run 3 Monitors and be a slightly Better Vid card than what i have installed now for under 150 Bucks.  Is that even possible?  Mobo has PCI X 2.0

Are you looking to run the 3 displays in surround? Or just 1 main and 2 auxiliary?

For 150$ you can't play in surround, I want to make that clear. If you play on a single monitor and you just want two more on the sides, the 550ti shouldn't have any problem whatsoever. I think you should keep it if that's your budget, it's still a decent card. If you had 400$, then you could see a real improvement, but for 150$ you are better off waiting imo.

would be using it for One Main and two Sides.  I have read about this vid card and all places say it will only support 2 monitors. it has two DVIs and one HDMI ports on it.
