So I've been waiting since January to get the ASUS ROG Swift and I'm getting fed up with waiting plus with "affordable" 4K monitors being more available I'm considering fore going the ROG Swift and getting a new monitor.

The monitors I am looking at are these

1)ASUS ROG Swift 1440p @ 144Hz Gsync (Price: TBD but probably about $800 USD)

2) ASUS PB278Q 1440p @ 60Hz (Price: $490 USD)

3) ASUS PB287Q 4K @ 60Hz (Price: $650 USD)

Those are the options that I have looked into. I am presently running a rig with a i7 4930k @ 4.2Ghz and SLI EVGA 780Ti Classifieds so I have enough PC power to run a 4K Display "effectively" but I will also be running max of 2 or at least 1 1080p displays as a secondary monitor(s). Now would you guys say it would be worth it to still wait for the ROG Swift or go with the 60Hz 1440p or 4K display? So what should I do? I can do any of them but I'm still not sure?

PB278Q(check the reviews), I will wait for 4k 2 years more, I'm not going back to a TN panel. I'll wait till they're ~$500 IPS panels.

I would go 21:9 (3440x2440) or 4k (3840 x 2160), specially with the dual 780ti you have under the hood.

Honestly I think the ROG swift is a regular 144hz monitor with a higer res and a hefty pricetag, thanks to the ROG marketing. G-Sync still needs adoption (or whatever standard we end up using). But if you feel like spending $800+ on it it's your call.

Decent 4K monitors are appearing slowly, just like the adoption of higher resolution 21:9, if you are impatient or need a decent display soon, a korean 1440p monitor is also a good choice (Qnix, shimian, etc).

really depends on what you want to do with it. surround gaming is awesome and if you want to do that get a 1440. Basically if you  just want to game 1440 is a pretty sweet spot for gaming. It really depends on what your needs are. personally i am running a 4k because i do color accuracy

Yeah, it seems like the best option for me right now is to wait a bit more for the ROG Swift as much as I will hate it
