disk tuning

I turned off that thing which manages the files on your hard drive because people say i don't need it for sshd, but now my anit virus is saying i need to tune it? I'm kinda confused. hurlp

Need to know exactly what you turned off? Disk Indexing?

 

I was running AVAST AV myself and got rid of it because of all the "crap" it wanted to do and recommend...

Ahh, yes, Windows should auto turn that off for SSD's - but for mechanical drives I would leave it on. Does help for performance. Just make sure it is scheduled to run when you not using your computer, like late at night.
