AM3+ motherboard?

Go to solution Solved by -rascal-,

My 8350 can do 5.6-5.8 on wather so i need a good VRM

Holy Jeez! 5.8GHz on a FX-8350?!

What revision is your GA-990FXA-UD3?

If you're doing 5.6GHz - 5.8GHz, I'd just go with an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z, a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 / UD7, or AsRock 990FX Extreme4 / Extreme9.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20 this would get my vote, or another ud3/ud5 maybe.

https://www.komplett.no/asus-crosshair-v-formula-z-socket-am3/760831 has gotten some fairly good reviews with only a few reports of BIOS/booting errors in rare cases.

Good temporary alternative if you should perhaps consider converting to socket 2011 eventually..  ;)

I would go with an Asus M5A99FX Pro, I had it and it was great

I got my FX-6300 to just over 5.1 GHz on it

The VRM on mind did very well, barely felt warm.

Hey.

My Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 died the other day and i want to hear what the forum think i should buy?

I dont cear about the prize, please give a reason for your choosing?

I have a FX-8350

Thx :)

I know that you said no more Gigabyte...but Newegg is pumping out the 4.0 version of the UD3.  Bought one for my son with his 6300...man that sure is a great board so far after 2 months.
