Need laptop for college/very light gaming

Trail Mixorz

Going away to school soon and need a laptop for class, but I will be doing very light gaming (source engine, like cs:go, cs:s, gmod, etc. sometimes minecraft or whatever). This is not a desktop replacement, I will have that in my dorm, this is just so I have something for class and to play light games on the go. Not sure how good onboard graphics are, so I think I wanna go with a dedicated card inside, but i also want portability...ugh. I would prefer a decent screen, like 14-15" no more than 15.6".

BUDGET: <$550 USD

MUST BE Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba, or Fujitsu because they give me a deal or something for going to school? Idk

I know you specified some brands, but getting a 840M for $600 seems like a pretty good deal to me. It's also slightly above budget, but it is only $50...any wiggle room on the budget, perhaps?

Okay so apparently Acer has horrible customer service and charge for any repairs even with warranty, so I think I'll stay away, unfortunately

my friend has a similar model from a few years ago with a 640m and its still cranking today. we did have to disasemble it to remove a hariball from his dog and it certainly wasnt easy as in small laptops like that the motherboard has the stuff facing the keyboard side so the whole thing has to come apart. it still runs great though.
