280x vs 770

So I am going to upgrade my 660ti soon and I'm wondering which card out of the four below that I should buy. I am a fan of Nvidia shadowplay, but AMD has the raptr app which has its own version of shadowplay. Really it all comes down to performance to me, and I want to know if the AMD 14.4 drivers are any good because I have never used their drivers before.

Do you stream/record? If so, the 770 will be better because of shadowplay.

The 280X is only really better in BF4 than the 770. After that, they're basically equal, with the 770 getting like 2 frames more avg. Averages are good but minimums are where I look.

I would say that the 770 brings the most to the table in terms of raw gaming performance.

PhysX does add something and as for MSI don't trust their cards as they already pissed off Nvidia once.  Go with EVGA OP!

Go with either Sapphire or EVGA, both among the best vendors! The 280X and the 770 are about equal so just pick the one which supports the most technologies you're interested in, eg Eyefinity on the 280X or G-sync on the 770.

Well i wpuld get a 280 as it is cheaper but the 770 has those features, but uf you use obs and have a intel cpu you dont need shadowplay, and other than sheild thats all nvidia is really good for

Neither. Either shoot for another 660 Ti for sli or get at least a 780 ti/290x. The 660 Ti performs similarly to the 760 and the 770/280x isn't much of an upgrade.

If you have to go with either a 280x or 770 I'd say the 280x, since it performs similarly to the 770 and comes with 3Gb of VRAM instead of 2Gb like the 770. More VRAM will allow you to use higher res textures and load more, will be better for a heavily modded Syrim too :P
