After being burned by OCZ Petrol SSDs, one died while on the system and 2 died sitting on the shelf, I swore never to buy SSDs. Linus in one of his videos mentioned OCZ Petrol as one of the worst products in SSD history, was late information for me. This was a couple of years ago.

Now I bought a 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD, hope to have a long and happy association with it.

I had 2 Corsair SSDs die on me, both after 1 or 2 months. Now I have a OCZ Vertex 3 unit, let's just pray it works a few years more.

The problem wasn't you bought SSDS, the problem was buying unreliable ones. From casual observation, OCZ drives have a higher failure rate and Corsair SSDs are nothing special. Just get a Samsung or Crucial drive, problem solved.

One of the more overrated purchases I think and with prices going down drastically supposedly soon not really a good time to be buying them right now today.

Dude, prices already went down drastically. For the price I paid for this 120GB SSD back in 2011, you can get a 512GB SSD for the same price now. With the MX100 drives, now is the perfect time to get one.
